The Ocean In God's Cloak Didn't Stop Japanese Bombs In WWII

Barry C. Black Asks God Who Let Down The USA In Pearl Harbor To Please Not Do That Again

· Barry C Black

Barry C. Black, the taxpayer-funded Chaplain of the United States Senate, delivered this prayer yesterday, on the anniversary of the Japanese attack against Pearl Harbor:

"God, who holds the wind in your fist and wraps the ocean in your cloak, we thank you for defending all who come to you. Lord, on this December 7, a date that has lived in infamy, we ask you to bless our military."

So wait a minute. The god of Christianity holds the wind in his fist and wraps the ocean in his cloak, but couldn't be bothered to blow away the Japanese airplanes that bombed Pearl Harbor? All this god would have had to do is just flick his wrist, and sent out a big gust blowing the planes back to Japan, and then all those people in Pearl Harbor wouldn't have died. The god just didn't bother to try. That's pathetic.

Now Chaplain Barry C. Black wants that same god to bless the United States military? Where was this god during World War II?!?

Luckily, this god isn't real. But still, think about it. This prayer makes no sense. Either the god of Christianity wants to use his wind-fist powers to protect the United States military, or he doesn't. If the god was indifferent to the attack against the US military in Pearl Harbor, why would he trouble his windy fists now?

Why are the American people paying money for this crazy talk? The United States is supposed to have separation of church and state, so why is Chaplain Barry C. Black paid by the federal government to invoke gods to protect the military with fists of winds and cloaks of oceans?
